RCT. The name says it all: “Realistic Combat Training”. If you’re interested in focusing mainly on self-defense, and are less concerned with the regiments required for belt rankings, then RCT may be for you. From basic self defense to advanced weapons disarms, RCT will take you from a beginner level to a point at which you will feel comfortable defending yourself in any given situation. RCT is also unique to United World Martial Arts, and can not be found being taught anywhere else. Throughout his training, Master Sanchez has spent years putting pen to paper, carefully memorizing and creating the “streetwise” self defense program which is now known as RCT. Clothing: Dress comfortable. WHITE Sweatpants or shorts are required, along with either an black RCT or KARATE T-Shirt. Footwear is optional, and only non-marking soles will be allowed (most sneakers have these types of soles). All footwear being worn during training must be carried into the class, not worn. Dirt, rocks or other residues can be tracked unto the mats from dirty shoes, damaging the floor and possibly increasing the risk to injury. As stated earlier, you may choose to simply work out in bare feet. Bare feet offer plenty of traction, but under no circumstances will you be able to work out in just socks. Socks are very slippery and can greatly increase the risk to injury. Equipment: United World Martial Arts will supply any equipment needed for training. There is no need for the student to purchase any extra equipment or supplies. Certification: Although you will not receive “belt rankings” as in traditional martial arts, you will still get “Certification” upon completion of each level of RCT training. Upon successfully completing level five, you will be awarded an honorary black belt in RCT. At this level you should be very proud of your accomplishments. In most cases you would be able to defend yourself against any black belt Karate student in any martial arts style. |
