UNITED WORLD MARTIAL ARTS Student of the Month March Madness

Trent is a purple belt in our 10 to 13 year old program, and a current member of our Demo Team.  For such a young man he has accomplished many things inside and outside of the Dojo.  We have seen him grow as a martial artist and a role model to his two younger brothers. His martial arts ability is not the only thing that impresses us, it’s the interaction with his fellow students that catches our eye. As a Karate student you can’t be focused on yourself all the time, that’s not the Karate way.  Making friends and learning life lessons is what you should strive for, and Trent does that each time he steps on the Dojo floor.

You could be next

Train hard, show up to class and help your fellow student, and you could be the next student of the month.

Sparring Gear!

Sparring gear is required for all students.  The Dojo has lenders, but you must have your own.  Please see Mrs. Kim about ordering equipmet.

Help Your Fellow

Student

We all started out as white belts, but somewhere along the way we got help.  The help didn't come from the instructors but your fellow students.  Instructors are at the Dojo to teach, we need you to make all new students feel comfortable.  If you see a white belt standing alone, say hi and offer them your friendship, that’s what Karate's all about.  You may have noticed the increase in class size lately, and lots of new faces.  Lets make them feel like part of the family, and lend them a hand.

We love to see all the new faces in the K.I.C.K. Program, but the March cardio madness is approaching. What is the March Madness, you ask? It’s when all the people who joined in January go crazy and give up on themselves.  Most people who start a new years resolution typically give up within the first two months.  Don't be a lazy statistic, continue to push yourself. We know the class is very hard, but remember how long it took to get out of shape, give your self equal time to get it back.  “GOOD LUCK”!
