A lot of intensity in a little package.
Aaron is only 7, but when it comes to his martial arts he carries
himself like one much older.
He is all business inside the Dojo and is always found
practicing. His focus and dedication probably comes from his
two older "martial arts" brothers and his parents, but wherever he
learned his good habits he sure stands out on the Dojo floor.
His work habits alone could of landed him Student of
the Month, but the effort he puts forth sealed it. Not only is
Aaron always working hard to better his karate skills, but he does
it with superb power and focus rarely found in such a young person.
Great job Aaron. Keep up the hard work.

Summers here... and with it the temptation to take some "time off".
Everyone needs a rest now and then, and there isn't a better time to
take one than in the summer... but beware!
Karate isn't easy, it pushes you both physically and
mentally. At UWMA we also pride ourselves on the quality of
our instruction and the physical demands we set upon our students,
and in most areas we push the envelope even further than other
karate schools. Both memory and physical fitness can easily
become lost with too much time off.
We have seen too many great students over the years
take "time off" for other sports in the summer, only to return lost,
frustrated and dejected months later upon their return. This
usually results in a huge slowdown in advancement while they
"relearn" what they lost, or in more severe cases, quitting on
yourself and leaving Karate. Remember why you come here...
Karate, when taught correctly, vastly improves ALL facets of life.
It will help in all other sports, along with your schoolwork, social
life and even your health and well being.
We strongly suggest that instead of completely removing
yourself from the Dojo, you attend one class every week or two.
Although this may not be enough to learn a lot of "new material", it
will be enough to help maintain everything you worked hard to
already know and to also keep your body in tune.
Remember, we are not saying do not try other sports, quite
the contrary, it's summer, get outside, BUT make a personal
commitment to the one sport that will effect you forever.
