Dedicated, focused, determined
and passionate about his martial arts. Mike. Practicing
at home as much as he does in the Dojo, Mike's abilities shown
through as he placed First in Sparring in the recent tournament in
Niagara falls. Always striving to improve all facets of his
martial arts abilities, Mike pushes himself to his limits and then
beyond.
"Apples don't fall far from the tree" speaks volumes
since Mike's "tree" is his dad Stan, Student of the year for 2006,
and Mike's setting an example that his dad can be proud of.
Over 20 of our students just competed in a tournament in Niagara
Falls, this all came to be from Mike's love of martial arts and his
persistence in competing in this tournament. his excitement
spread through many of our students and the rest is history.
Awesome Karate work ethic Mike. Your presence on
the dojo floor is an inspiration to those around you. You
embody our "practice hard" dojo motto. Great job. To access our "Student of
the Month Archives", click below:

22 of our students competed in a tournament in Niagara Falls
last month, and for many it was their first tournament. Myself
(Sensei Butch) and Master Sanchez couldn't be more proud of
everyone's performance, attitude, sportsmanship and results!
Being an "open" tournament, and the 24th year running, there were
many competitors from all over Western New York and even Canada.
Out of 22 people, we are proud to announce 23 winners
in the First, Second and third categories... awesome! Not an
easy accomplishment since most of our students were first time
competitors and a lot of the people they had to go against were
tournament veterans. Superb job students! We will
keep you posted on further tournaments that we would recommend.

Dan, our December
2006 Student of the Month, recently had an awesome room update!
Thanks to Mom and Dad's hard work, Dan's room now reflects his love
for the martial arts. The Schools Emblem proudly painted upon
the wall, along with all his awesome Karate accomplishments neatly
displayed, this room is a kids dream.
If
you have any pictures to share of any similar "remodeling" that you
did, please share your story or let us see the pictures.
Thanks Dan (and Mom and Dad!) for thinking highly enough of our
school to display our patch inside your home. |
