Hard work. True dedication. Natural talent.  Ability to work through pain. Big asset to the Demo Team.  Great sense of humor and personality.  I could go on, but Rem basically a the perfect mix for a "Student of the Month".
     Rem has previously achieved  the rank of Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, but he couldn't wait to come to UWMA and start over at White Belt to work on his way back to Black with us in American Freestyle Karate. 
     Rem can be found sweating, smiling and pushing himself to the limits in our 9 - 12 year old classes, but his attitude and grim determination would make most of the adult karate students proud.  Rem, were lucky to have you as a student, and it's students like you who make the Demo Team, and our school, shine.  Keep up the good work.

   
 

    Nobody got hurt! That was the most important issue.  On Saturday, June 24th, at around 3PM a section of the facade of the front of the building came loose and tumbled unto the sidewalk.  We spent the weekend cleaning up the mess, and removing any and all loose bricks that remained attached to the building.
    On Monday, June 26th, the Town sent inspectors and engineers who cleared us to re-open the dojo stating that the building is structurally sound, and that we simply need to replace the bad bricks that compose the facade on the front of the building.
     We are working hard and fast to get the Dojo back into shape... but in the meantime we thank you for your patience working with us.   Thank You to ALL who expressed concern and offered their assistance... we always refer to our students and their parents as "family", now we know just how true that is.  Thanks again.
