Karate Machine.  Morgan is just that.  When he is in the dojo, there is no "playing around", fully focused and smiling, he is always found working on his material.  With non stop progression, he has steadily climbed the ranks, and done it with style.  He currently wears the Blue, and is working hard, as usual, on his purple.
Morgan has been all business from day one, and it's easy to see where he gets his intensity after watching his dad work out in our RCT classes.  Morgan recently moved up to the 9 - 12 year old class, which can sometimes be intimidating, but not only did he "fit in" with the older group, he actually excels in both rank and attitude.  Morgan keep up the good work ethic, because that above all else will get you far in life,  inside, and especially outside, the dojo.

Just like "Stranger Danger" and "911" are integral parts of our Dojo Training, so will be "Dojo Respect".   Dojo Respect will be a wide variety of topics, all designed to help you inside and outside the Dojo.
     This months topics are
"Being on time" and "Respect your fellow students".

Being on time:  At the start of every class, we "bow in" (say "hello") in a respectful way to the Dojo/Instructor.  The students who arrive late miss this important rule.  We realize that it is hard sometimes to get to the Dojo in a timely fashion, so this new rule is not a "punishment", but rather a way for ALL students to properly show their respect for the Dojo and Instructor by not simply running out on the Dojo floor as class is going on.  If you played sports and were late for practice or a game, would you simply run out unto the field or would you greet the coach and wait for his instructions?
When you arrive at the Dojo late, and classes have already started, simply kneel on the  edge of the mats closest to the chairs and wait for an instructor to "bow you in" (since everyone on the Dojo floor already bowed in).  Then simply sign in and take your place in class.

Respect your instructor and your fellow students:  This is basic common sense and should be used in all facets of life.  In regards to instructors:  When an instructor is speaking, listen, when an instructor is demonstrating, watch, and at all times control your actions and focus.  In regards to our fellow students:  Treat them as you would like to be treated.  Do not verbally tease, harass or mock a fellow student.  Do not EVER physically grab, push or shove a fellow student.  If you have a problem with someone, simply bring it to an instructors attention and he/she will handle the situation...  do NOT take matters into your own hands.  We like to look at our Dojo as a "Family", and although we realize that even families have their troubles now and then, we are all still brothers and sisters deep down.
