Another "Lil
Dragon" with BIG Focus. Scott made this month's pick easier
than most. Always found on the floor during his
available times, and also during the "optional" open floor slots,
Scott is all practice and no play when he steps upon the dojo floor.
Usually the first to enter and last to leave, he
practices all his belt requirements with a focus rarely seen in the
younger kids classes. He also takes it a step further and
practices at home religiously with the UWMA DVD. You can see
the desire and attention in his eyes on the floor during class, and
especially when you are working with him one on one. It's easy
to forget that he is only seven when you watch his power and
speed he throws into his techniques.
He hasn't been a student of the martial arts long,
barely three months, and he is speeding towards Orange. The
combination of the speed at which he learns, the focus and devotion
he pours into practice, and his young age makes Scott a rarity and
also makes for a superb mix for the martial arts. I
would say "Practice Hard" Scott, as we do every time we end class,
but I don't have to, you already do. |
