If you ever wonder what it takes to be student of the month, look no further than Jocelin.  She is one of our adult Karate students and her actions definitely speak louder then her words.  Her ability to pick-up on what is being taught to her and immediately perform it with technique, power and speed is truly amazing.  Yet she’s still quiet and humble at the same time, a quality sometimes not found in highly skilled martial artists.
     We sometimes get students who learn a kata or a drill and want to test on it right away, but not Jocelin.  She takes her time and tries to perfect it, before ever being tested.  A student who has great martial art skills alone doesn’t necessarily make student of the month. We look at all facets of the individual, someone who is humble in words but confident in action.  Jocelin has all these qualities and more.  She will continue to be, and already is, a great martial artist.
