     If you ever need to find Sam, look no further than the Dojo, because Sam seldom misses a class. His commitment level is proved by his attendance, and his focus while in the school also sets him apart. He can always be found working on his material while waiting for class to start, and even brushing up on what he just learned after class is over if time allows.
       His focus and confidence held him strong throughout his board test. In fact, it was his performance in his board test that swayed our opinion to choose him for the "Student of the Month" award. His concentration never wavered as he performed all his materials for the boards judgment, and his improved speed and power in his techniques at such an early stage impressed us greatly.
     We know, from experience, how stressful testing in front of a board can be. When Sam was done testing, he left us with no doubt about his readiness for promotion. Good job Sam. Keep up the good work.

     Get Ready! Our "First Annual Inner School Tournament" is next month! The tournament is to be held on Saturday April 24^th, 2004 from 10:00am – 3:00pm. You may compete in Sparring (Kumite), Kata, OR BOTH! All entries and entry fees must be in no later than Saturday, April 10th, 2004. All participants will receive a competition award, and trophies will be awarded for 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place for each division. The "divisional competition times" will be posted on Monday, April 13th, lessening the wait time for participants.
     The fees are to help with the cost of trophies, plaques and certificates. The fees are as listed below:

     Kata or Weapons Division $12.00
     Sparring Division $12.00
     * Both Divisions $20.00 *

More details will be available throughout the month of March. This will be a fun event, and also will give each student a chance to put their newly acquired Martial Arts skills to the test. Everyone will go home a winner, besides the "competition award" they will receive, each participant will also learn the values of sportsmanship, fair play, respect and how to handle defeat. We hope to see you there!

All required materials for belt ranking are discussed and
performed IN DETAIL by our qualified instructors. There is a DVD available for each ranking, making it much easier to practice your material "PROPERLY" at home.

NOTE! Due to many inquiries by our students and their parents, we have made the music video available in high resolution DVD format for only $5!

     The NEW SCHEDULE is in effect! Please note the schedule changes that effect your age group.
A few important changes:

1) Sparring was moved to Friday's, from 6PM to 7PM
2) Adult Karate was moved from Monday to Tuesday
     (It still remains in the same time slot, from 7PM to 8PM)
3) A brand new "Orange Belt & Above" class was added on
     Tuesdays from 6PM to 7PM.
4) R.C.T. was moved from Saturday to Tuesday, 8:15PM to
     9:15 PM.
5) Open floor Friday's is now from 7PM to 9PM.
6) On Saturday's, the13 to 16 Yr. old Karate was moved
      from 11AM to 12PM to 12PM to 1PM.
7) Two new 15 minute testing times were added for the
     13 to Adult classes on Tuesday's and Thursday's from
     8PM to 8:15PM.
